We haven't really gotten permission to write letters, but then we did get permission to not get caught, so I'm hoping that this makes it out o.k.
Today was a good day, but the past 3 were horrible and something I never want to experience again. It was so stressful... beyond anything I've ever gone through before. Yes, living with 41 other girls is one of the hardest parts about being here. I definitely have some new friends and some people I can't stand. My flight is still kind of retarded, but we're slowly getting better.
I love marching, but yes Daddy we have those idiots that can't march to save their life and they make the entire flight look stupid. I do love singing cadences & jodies.
My P.T. is a lot better than everyone here. I'm like #6 or 7 for P.T. so all of that hard work paid off.
It's fucking hot here, like gross and insane. We take 2 showers a day. Now that it's Oct. it's really slowly getting cooler.
My T.I.'s name is SSgt. Dartez and he didn't know my name for the first 2 weeks. Yay for me!! He's a pretty cool T.I, but can be a crazy mo-foe when he wants to be. Oh and some of these girls are so dumb with no common sense, I wonder how they made it this far.
Oh well, I've gotten a few letters, but you need to send more. One girl got 15 letters at the first mail call. Crazy!! I've been able to keep my spirits up for the most part... there have been a couple of days where the exhaustion set in and I didn't know how I was going to make it.
I only get about 4 - 5 hrs of sleep a night. It's ridiculous how exhausted I am all the time and will be nudged awake in class not even realizing I was asleep.
We finally got issued our training weapons last week and we're learning rifle fighting techniques today & yesterday. I did pretty good, I'm proud of myself.
We also did the high crawl and low crawl through rocky, rocky sand. My knees and elbows are bruised. I also had to do it blind because I had to take my glasses off so they wouldn't scratch or break because we haven't gotten our B.C.'s yet.
It definitely is different than I thought, but I'm proud of myself for how I'm handling it. I'm stronger than I think... I haven't cried once (some people here cry every day).
We have about 10min to eat, which has made me faster, but I still hate it. I'm always one of the last ones in there.
You should look up a song called Letter of War by Mark Schultz. It will make you cry, but it's super good.
OK I'm getting yelled at to hurry so we can sneak to the mailbox. Hopefully we'll get our phone call soon. Share this with everyone. Thank Ayla for her letter and think you for mine from you guys. SEND MORE!!
Love you... keep me in your thoughts.
