Fourth Week

Hey There ~
So I received a lot of letters last week because my dad typed up my last letter and emailed it out.  So thanks to all who wrote, it was nice to get a lot of letters for once.

We just started our 4th week today, which is exciting because it means we are half way done.  I've heard that starting 4th week everything goes by really fast and you are graduating before you know it.  I can't wait for that.

I feel like I've become a huge fat ass since all I ever think about is the next chow and food.  LOL.  I miss snacking sooo much.  It's hard to go 6hrs without food when we are doing a lot of physical things.  Overnight we go about 13 - 14.5 hours without eating and we have PT in the morning which takes a lot of fuel that you don't have in your belly.

But anyways, we have a lot of exciting things this week.  Tomorrow (Mon) we are doing the obstacle course, which I heard is a lot of fun.  Then on Tuesday we are going to the gas chamber.  I'm not really nervous about it, but I know that when I'm standing outside the door I'm going to be thinking "Oh crap, this is going to suck" LOL. Then on Wed we get our blues, which is exciting, and we finally get our names on our uniforms because they have been blank up until now.  We also got our BC's a few days ago, so I'm looking like a complete nerd, but we all know that it's not our choice to wear them, so no one really makes a big deal about them.  Then the rest of the week is filled with our 4th week PT evaluation and classes.

Then next week we have more classes and are getting ready for the BEAST.

Then 6th week is the BEAST.

Then 7th week is full of evaluations.  We have a total of 13 - 14 evaluations I believe so it's going to be a really stressful week.

Then 8th week is going to be awesome because it's graduation week. YAY!!

There have been a few days this week that were not the best days and I just wanted to get the hell out of this place, but then last night and today will hopefully be good ones.  Sundays are more relaxes and chill.  Last Sunday we painted his office a dark navy blue because he hated the mural in there and wanted to stop looking at it.  LOL.

So two days ago, SSgt Dartez called me and two other girls into his flight office and told us that we have the potential (if we work hard and push it out) to become top PT Female.  I can't believe I'm in the running for that.  That makes me feel damn good because that's one individual thing we do here and I've worked my ass off.  I'm going to keep pushing really hard and really hope that I get it because that would be cool.

As the days go by, I'm getting more annoyed at the girls in my flight, but we literally spend 24/7 together so that's not really a big surprise.

We did SABC (Self-Aid Buddy Care; basically battlefield first-aid) this last week, which was fun because that's my job in the AF.  I'm also SABC Monitor for the BEAST, which means I have to make sure everyone knows what they are doing so that when an MTI comes up and says "They have a sucking chest wound!" that everyone knows how to react and can simulate the steps properly.

Today is church day which means we don't have PT, which is hella nice because my body is sore and tired.

Ok so I'm going to dispel some things that everyone told me about BMT.  Mom, we do NOT have to iron anything, so HA! and we have suede boots so we don't have to shine those either.  We do however spend hours clipping little strings off of our ABU's (camo's) and spend hours folding clothes.  Plus, when I get out of here I will refuse to make my bed!  Bleh!

My boots are comfy now that they are broken in, but my other pair are refusing to break in and they hurt like a biatch.  Especially since they push on my little bunion and make it worse.  I love the uniform, but hate the jacket because it makes me like 50° F hotter.

We had our first MRE the other day and it was hella good.  Plus, there were Peanut M&M's in there.  I inhaled them before they could snatch them away, haha.

Well this is it for now since I'm out of room.  I will talk to you soon hopefully.

Soon to be Airman First Class Pratt.
